I help retreat leaders, yoga teachers and space holders fill their retreats with their own people: guests who know them, trust them and come back, instead of strangers comparing prices on a platform.
My background: getting small businesses found
Since 2019, I've run Jean SEO, a French-language YouTube channel about local SEO and Google Business Profile: how small businesses get found by people in their town. Today it has more than 11,000 subscribers, 340+ videos and over 650,000 views.
Alongside the channel, I've spent years doing the work for real clients: law firms, a bike shop, a driver training school, a building expert, an electrician. Google Business Profile, websites, reviews, content: the unglamorous work that makes the phone ring. I also teach it, through an online course for freelancers and business owners who want to do it themselves.
All those years taught me one thing: the businesses that win aren't the biggest or the cheapest. They're the ones people find, trust and remember.
Why retreats
Then I joined a retreat. The magic was real. The teacher was wonderful, the place was beautiful, the people left changed. And almost nobody knew it existed.
That stayed with me. The people who are best at holding space are rarely the ones who are best at selling it. So many beautiful retreats run half empty, or only stay full thanks to a platform that takes a big cut and can change its rules (or disappear) overnight.
Today I co-organize a 7-day forest retreat in Croatia, so I live the other side too: the venue deposit, the empty spots six weeks out, the late bookings. Everything I share here, I test there first.
What that means for you
They help you plan it. I help you fill it.
Most retreat consultants help you design the retreat: the vision, the itinerary, the venue, the logistics. That matters. But a beautifully planned retreat with empty places is still a hard month. My work starts where theirs stops: getting your retreat in front of the right people, and getting them to book.
You get someone who knows how people search, compare and decide online (on Google, on YouTube, through reviews and websites) and who now uses all of it for one thing: helping retreat hosts become the ones their people find, trust and come back to. Without the hype, and without a platform in the middle.
What I promise you
- No platform pays me. When I review BookRetreats, Retreat Guru or anyone else, it's the honest deal from the host's side, with the good and the bad.
- Real numbers, with sources. Fees from the platforms' own terms, prices from industry data, examples worked out in full. If I'm not sure, I say so.
- No pushy selling. Filling your retreat shouldn't feel like a used-car sale. It should feel like inviting your people to something you love.
Where to start
Work with me
If you have a big dream for your retreats and want to build them for yourself, not for a platform, tell me about your retreat. I read every application myself.
